The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure begins the construction of two raised pedestrian crossings, a speed reducer and the modification of a roundabout in Ulea in order to improve road safety for its neighbors.
The director general of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, and the mayor of the town, Víctor Manuel López, today visited the actions that are being carried out on the crossing of the road that connects Ulea with Villanueva del Río Segura (RM-B14) and in which the municipality connects with the A-30 motorway (RM-523).Given the speed of the vehicles passing through the Ulea crossing, Fernández Lladó explained that "the installation of these elements is necessary to improve road safety for pedestrians passing through these two roads, which constitute one of the main vehicles accesses to the Ricote valley ".The area of ??action of these roads that run through the urban core of Ulea "has a traffic intensity of 1,555 vehicles per day," reported the director general, who noted that the works involve an investment of 48,339 euros and their execution time will be two months.
