The Ministry of Employment, Universities and Enterprise, through the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF), has granted this year to the City of Ulea three programs that, with a total investment of 135,000 euros, are providing training and employment to 14 unemployed Township.
Specifically, eight of these people without employment have been hired directly by the Ulea City Council through two local public employment programs.
There are five young people who do not study or work, all of them beneficiaries of Youth Guarantee, who have joined the municipal staff as garden laborers, and three unemployed who are responsible for the maintenance and refurbishment of the old town.
The other six unemployed participate in a mixed program of employment and training, which will allow them to specialize as caregivers of dependents in residences or senior centers alternating theoretical classes with paid work.
The director general of the Employment and Training Service (SEF), Alejandro Zamora, who visited today, together with the mayor of the town, Víctor Manuel López, to the beneficiaries of these programs, stressed that "these initiatives show that boosting employment in the Different municipalities of the Region go through to strengthen the bonds of collaboration between the regional administration and the local administrations ".
