The regional government invests 1.3 million euros to subsidize the service in eleven municipalities and the Commonwealth Eastern Region
The Minister of Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, signed today with the mayor of Ulea, Víctor Manuel López, the collaboration agreement for the home help service of the municipality that will allow to allocate, through the Murcia Institute of Social Action IMAS , 115,500 euros to offer this service to 23 dependents in the municipality, with up to 12,500 hours of service.
The service is provided in the home of people in situations of dependency, in order to meet the needs of their daily lives, with actions such as support in personal hygiene, support in the mobilization within the home, help in the taking of medicines , occasional accompaniments outside the home, collection and management of recipes or documents, help in the daily cleaning of the house, purchase of food and other basic products on behalf of the user and preparation of meals, among others.
The forecast provision corresponds to the 2018, 2019 and 2020 annuities, since the agreement's validity extends until March 31, 2020.
In addition to home care, this assistance allows a continuous monitoring of your situation by the municipal Social Services.
The beneficiaries are those people who have recognized a dependency situation and a resolution that recognizes the right to receive this service, according to the law of promotion of personal autonomy and care for people in situations of dependency.
The Community will allocate 1.3 million euros this year to subsidize the home help service in eleven municipalities of the Region and the Commonwealth of the Eastern Region.
In accordance with the request made by the municipalities of Jumilla, Ricote, Villanueva del Segura River, Ulea, Mula, Eastern District (Abanilla, Beniel, Fortuna and Santomera), Aledo, Albudeite, Lorquí, Blanca, Campos del Río and Molina Safe.
Home help will create more than one hundred jobs, mainly for women, so that recruitment by local councils of caregivers is encouraged to serve users.
