The Governing Council authorized the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure and the municipalities of Cartagena and Ulea for the development and implementation of the Information System of Housing of the Region of Murcia (Sivmurcia).
This initiative is one of the strategic priorities of the regional housing policy and land-oriented consultation and coordination between governments, industry stakeholders and social groups.
With this, it is making available to public authorities, other institutions and the general public accurate information about the housing sector to enable strategic planning in this area.
The Sivmurcia thematic geoportal is integrated into the Territorial Information System Sitmurcia and interrelated with various data, enabling the development of diagnostic analysis and as a basis for drafting plans and strategies.
Its main objectives are to know the areas in surplus or deficit of housing in relation to the availability of land, developments in their occupation and status of planning and information of the state of the housing stock in terms of aging and conservation, and incorporate information supply and demand for housing.
Thus, a total of 25 municipalities are part of Sivmurcia and collaborate with the Ministry in this area (Abarán, Alguazas, Archena, Beniel, White, Bullas, Calasparra, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cehegín, Ceuta, Cieza, Fuente Alamo, The Union, Lorca, Lorquí, Los Alcázares, Mula, Murcia, Santomera, San Javier, Puerto Lumbreras, Las Torres de Cotillas, Villanueva del Rio Segura, Ulea and Cartagena).
