The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, visited this morning to 20 youths, aged between 18 and 26 years, involved in the field of cultural work that takes place in Ulea and aims to revitalization of children, youth and senior citizens of the municipality, and promote the value of the cultural environment of the area.
Volunteers come from different Spanish regions, such as Andalusia, Aragon, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Galicia, Madrid, Basque Country, Valencia, Ceuta and Murcia.
During his stay in the region, from 17 to 31 August, the young cooperate in the planning and development of cultural and recreational activities to support local festivals program of this municipality, which coincide in time with the development of field work .
Lopez said that the aim of the work camp is "dynamic and stimulating cultural exchange, from coexistence values such as solidarity, participation and cultural exchange."
In addition, parallel to the activities of the field, organized cultural activities and visits to Cartagena and Murcia, hiking through the Valley of Ricote, games and entertainment and water sports on White.
The activities of the labor camps, along with the camps, are part of the campaign 'Summer Youth 2009', launched by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism through the Institute of Youth.
The total budget for this campaign is 500,000 euros, of which the Youth Institute provides Caja Mediterráneo 410,000 and 90,000 euros.
